This is not the place to ask to join our group. NOTE US WITH YOUR REQUEST TO JOIN. Do not leave a comment here. We will not respond.

We haven't yet come up with anything that has actually had people turn out to it when we've tried to plan improv poetry chats, so for now it'll just be open for whomever to pop in.
We are hoping that as the forums get used more, then we'll be able to organize chat events. For now though, you'll just have to keep on checking for others to pop in.

If you want to set up a forum to plan an event, or a specific chat time for our members, that would be cool. Then the members can write you saying when is good for them and you can have a formal chat. Staff may get more involved in the chat room and try to do group wide chat stuff, but for now you can try organize stuff if you'd like.

It has been a problem in the past, we set times and dates and no one shows up.

I am working at setting up a tri-group contest, so as soon as they get back to me we will be announcing it.

What we need from our members is patience while things get going and as we get everyone pumped about contests. Many of our members are students and semester end for highschool is soon, which means exams, and generally that takes precedence over UPP. I know as staff that I work really funny hours that change every week and times don't always match up. I can't make excuses for all our members, so right now I am hoping to attract new members, like yourself, that are excited about what we do and get the old ones back into it. Our member list is rather large, but our participatory members number much less.

Please be patient as we get contests going again. If you want to see how involved the group has been lately, go back through our journals and look at our contest entries and journal responses. You'll get a feel of what I'm talking about.
